Renowned model Gigi Hadid has reacted after the publication of US Department of Justice documents, where her name and that of her sister, Bella Hadid, are mentioned in several 2015 emails related to Jeffrey Epstein .

In a response to an Instagram comment, Hadid called Epstein a " disgusting person ," stressing that she had no relationship with him.

She said it's " terrible " to read comments about yourself from someone you've never met, especially in such a context.

The model also explained that she initially chose not to react so as not to obscure the testimonies of the real victims, while emphasizing that her fashion career is built solely on her work.

According to her, she signed her first contract with an agency in 2012 and has been working continuously since then.

"The mention of my name in these files is disturbing and I want to be clear. I have never had anything to do with this person," Hadid declared.

Meanwhile, the documents reveal an email exchange where Jeffrey Epstein discussed the Hadid sisters' modeling careers.

In the conversation dated December 3, 2015, an unknown person asks Epstein how they became successful models, while he denies that their success was related to family influence.

The case has brought Epstein's connections and comments to public figures back into the spotlight, reigniting debate over the influence and size of his network./ DailyMail
