US Secretary of State, Antony Blinken, arrived in Ankara this afternoon, where he met with Turkish President, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, who welcomed him at the airport.
Ankara is Blinken's second stop after the overthrow of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad. Earlier, he was in Aqaba, where he met with King Abdullah II of Jordan, with whom they agreed that stability and security in Syria is a priority.
The meeting took place immediately after Blinken landed at Ankara's Esenboga Airport, in the VIP area. The Turkish leadership is expected to highlight concerns about stability in the region following recent developments in Syria.
