Former US President Donald Trump has said he expects to be arrested on Tuesday, based, according to him, on a case handled by the Manhattan District Attorney's Office.
He made this statement on his social network, Truth Social, on Saturday.
"The favorite candidate of the Republicans and the former president of the United States will be arrested on Tuesday of next week. Protest, bring our nation back again," the post reads.
A spokesman for the Manhattan District Attorney's Office did not respond to requests for comment.
Trump has said, without providing evidence, that "illegal leaks" from the Manhattan Attorney's Office have given signs that he will be arrested. It has not yet been announced what he can be accused of./REL
