Serbia systematically and in every sphere of life drastically violates the elementary rights of the Albanians in the Valley, this is also proven by the recent case in the police station of Presheva.
Ahmet Beqiri, the only young Albanian from Presheva who has completed his basic studies, master's studies and specialization at the Academy of Criminalistics in Belgrade.
It's been over a month since Ahmet, who meets all the criteria required for employment at the Preševo police station, was rejected on the grounds that "at the moment we don't need a worker", and on the other hand, in the last two weeks, other police stations have accepted 162 new police officers.
"Ahmet Beqiri, for the time he worked at the police station of Presheva with a fixed-term contract as a referee, had the appreciation of the Albanian population in Presheva.
In Presheva, out of the total number of 248 members of the police in the police station, only 125 are of Albanian ethnicity, which is in flagrant disproportion with the percentage of the population in the Municipality of Presheva", writes Ardita Sinani, political advisor to Prime Minister Albin Kurti.
