British MP: Serbia will cause violence in Kosovo

British MP Alex Sobel has spoken about Kosovo.

During his speech, Sobel said that Kosovo is a new state for which the United Kingdom played an important role in stopping the genocide 20 years ago.

He emphasized that now the situation is getting tense again because of Russia, which is behind the tensions in the region.

In the shared video, he can be heard telling about a visit he made to Kosovo last year together with several other MPs and about the meetings held with the Prime Minister of Kosovo, the President and KFOR, adding that he learned that the security situation has worsened.

"I want to share Kosovo's concerns that Serbia will cause violence in Kosovo, threatening peace and stability in the country and the region. Serbia has already done such a thing in Bosnia and Herzegovina, through the 'Republika Srbska', and is attempting the same in Kosovo. Serbs in Kosovo are treated with respect and that relations between the two ethnic groups in Kosovo should be ensured, for a stable Kosovo," he said.

The deputy added that the Serbs deliberately want to destabilize Kosovo, hindering the progress of the dialogue.
