Benjamin Netanyahu vows to continue the war in Gaza

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has vowed to continue the deadly offensive in the Gaza Strip until a victory is achieved against Hamas.

"Giving in to the cruel demands of Hamas will not only not bring about the release of the hostages, but will invite additional carnage and disaster for Israel," Netanyahu told a news conference.

"The day after the war is the day after Hamas. Not a part of Hamas, not even half of Hamas," he added.

Netanyahu said victory against the Gaza-based Palestinian group would come "within months, not years."

"We are on the road to complete victory. Victory is within reach," said the Israeli prime minister.

He added that they will continue until the end, stressing that, "There is no other option but complete victory."
