"There is no new concern. It is active and powerful.” This is the conclusion reached by the doctors who examined the physical and mental condition of American President Joe Biden at the beginning of this year.

According to them, Biden's health in early 2024 remained largely unchanged from last year, with his White House doctor saying there are no new concerns and the 81-year-old is fit to serve in office.

The White House released the results of Biden's physical late Wednesday afternoon after he went to take his annual exam at Walter Reed. The report, written by the President's physician, Dr. Kevin O'Connor, determines that Biden's skin cancer from last year has not spread.

It also details the use of a CPAP machine to treat sleep problems and notes that Biden has been fitted with a new prescription for the contact lenses he wears.

"President Biden is a healthy, active, strong 81-year-old man who remains capable of successfully executing the duties of the Presidency, including those as Chief Executive, Head of State and Commander-in-Chief," the report said. .

Earlier, the White House had confirmed that Biden did not take a knowledge test during the exam. Using the same language as last year's report, O'Connor said Biden sat for an extremely detailed neurological exam that ruled out stroke, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson's or progressive lateral sclerosis.

But Biden still suffers from a stiff gait that hasn't gotten worse since last year.

"The President's arthritic changes remain moderate to severe, but do not yet result in nerve root compression significant enough to warrant any special treatment," said Dr. O'Connor.
