Iran's Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei , declared that Tehran had achieved victory over Tel Aviv after a 12-day armed conflict, and congratulated the Iranian people for this.
" I congratulate the Iranian people on their victory ," Khamenei said in a message, highlighting " a great victory over the false Zionist regime ."
"Despite all the noise and self-aggrandizement, that regime has almost fallen and been crushed under the blows of the Islamic Republic," Ayatollah Khamenei said in his first speech since the ceasefire between Israel and Iran, which was confirmed by President Pezeshkian on June 25.
Khamenei, in his televised message, said: "Trump, in one of his speeches, said that Iran must surrender."
"Trump has revealed the truth that the US will only be satisfied with Iran's surrender, but surrender will never happen, our nation is powerful."
"Any future aggression against Iran will have a huge cost. For Iran to have access to key American bases and reach them is a great thing, and in the future this could be repeated in the event of renewed aggression."
The conflict began on the night of June 12-13, when Israel launched a military operation against Iran, accusing Tehran of secretly developing military nuclear technology.
The targets of the airstrikes were Iranian nuclear facilities, senior military officials, prominent nuclear physicists, and military bases.
As previously reported in the media, Iranian authorities and the public are increasingly concerned about the absence of Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, who has not appeared in public or made any statements for almost a week, although the conflict with Israel has since been halted by a ceasefire.
