The Anti-Corruption Agency has initiated an official procedure to verify the assets of Kosovo President Vjosa Osmani, after noticing obvious differences in her asset declarations for the years 2024 and 2025.
Kosovo media reports that the launch of the verifications came after concerns over changes in the amount of assets declared on official forms of public officials.
The changes are mainly related to the increase in savings, as well as the increase in the amount of cash declared.
The documents submitted for 2025 show significant movement compared to the previous year, which has prompted the Agency to undertake further verifications according to the law in force.
In last year's declaration, Osmani also reported that she and her husband own another apartment in Pristina, as well as land and an additional house in Australia. The Anti-Corruption Agency is continuing the verification procedures, while any results will be announced according to legal regulations.
