Drone attack to kill Putin? USA: Moscow, funny

The United States has denied Russian claims that it orchestrated a drone strike that hit the Kremlin building on Wednesday to kill Russian President Vladimir Putin.

After accusing Ukraine of carrying out the alleged attack, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said it was carried out with Washington's support.

US Homeland Security spokesman John Kirby said this is a "ridiculous claim". Ukraine said it had nothing to do with the alleged attack. Putin, at that time, was not in the building.

According to Kiev, Moscow staged the incident to escalate its war in Ukraine. Peskov said the attack on the Kremlin - a large government complex in central Moscow - happened early Wednesday.
