The state budget is revised, expenses are increased by ALL 13 billion (DOCUMENT)

The state budget is revised for the second time, increasing expectations for revenues. In the normative act for the revision of the budget, it is stated that 576 billion and 831 million ALL will be collected by the end of the year, from the 546 billion and 811 million ALL that was foreseen in the first normative act that was approved in March of this year. Expectations for income have increased by over 30 billion ALL.

Even the total planned expenses have increased from 647 billion and 694 million ALL to 660 billion and 694 million ALL, experiencing an increase of 13 billion ALL. As a result of the increase in income in relation to expenses, the Ministry of Finance has revised the level of the budget deficit, reducing it by over 17 billion ALL, from 100.8 billion ALL that was predicted to 83.8 billion ALL.

In this normative act, the contingency fund for the Social Resistance package against the consequences of the crisis has been revised. From the 6 billion ALL that was the first package, this normative act provides for the addition of 6.1 billion ALL for this item, bringing the total to 12.1 billion ALL. With this increase in the budget, the way is opened for the approval of how the 6.1 billion lek of the second package of social resistance will be distributed. The act specifies that 1 billion and 670 million ALL of this fund will be used to compensate builders who have public contracts for the increased prices of construction materials. While the rest of the contingency fund will be distributed according to a decision of the Council of Ministers for which sectors or categories it will be used.
