What are the 4 sectors where foreigners are "pouring" more money?

The real estate sector in Albania is increasingly emerging as one of the sectors that is attracting more foreign investors. Currently, this sector is positioned in fourth place, being very close to third place in terms of the volume of money being invested in it.

Referring to the data of the Bank of Albania, it results that in the last two years there has been a significant increase in the percentage of foreign direct investments. The growth of 2021 was 8%, while in 2022 and 2023 foreign direct investments experienced a significant increase, reaching levels of 18 and 20%, respectively.

But which are the sectors where the most investments are being made?

Referring to data from the Bank of Albania, the sector with the largest stock of foreign investments is the energy, gas and steam sector where 3.3 billion euros were invested last year. In second place, is the extractive industry sector where 2.2 billion euros have been invested.

Meanwhile, in third place is the sector of financial and insurance activities, with 1.6 billion euros, while in fourth place are real estate activities, with 1.6 billion euros, reports SCAN.

Contrary to what happens with other sectors, it turns out that the real estate sector has seen a strong increase in the attraction of foreign investments in recent years.
