In third place is Ford, followed by Toyota, Audi and Opel.

According to the data of the General Directorate of Road Transport Services, during 2021, 68 thousand 514 new vehicles were registered in the country, of which 58 thousand 208 are vehicles. Last year, 16 thousand more vehicles were registered than in 2020.
Most of the vehicles that are newly registered are in Tirana, followed by Durrës and Fieri. Most of the registered vehicles came from Italy and Germany.
The story of Volkswagen, the "people's car" created by Hitler
Volkswagen, meaning "people's car", was created in 1937, during the Nazi period of Adolf Hitler. In the early 1930s, the German car industry consisted mainly of luxury car manufacturers and an average German could very rarely afford something more expensive than a motorcycle. As a result, only 1 in 50 Germans had a car.

Extremely inspired by the extraordinary success of Henry Ford, Adolf Hitler, believing that the power of mass industrialization could improve society, called for the construction of the "Volkswagen", or "people's car".
"It's the only good idea Hitler had," wrote one of Volkswagen's oldest experts, Bernard Rieger, in The People's Machine: The Global History of the Volkswagen Beetle, an interesting story of how as a prestigious project of the Nazis turned into national icon for three different states.
