I can't keep silent about Elton Qynon because I have two moments stuck in my mind.

First, his very personal confession; when he told me how while he was investigating a corruption affair, he was suggested/requested/advised by one of his former bosses to drop that article because it harmed the interests of the "boss". Qyno did not abandon the search and published it elsewhere, and from that journalistic "investigation" one of the state networks of corruption was hit.

I appreciated this moment internally, without ever telling him that that unwavering action, for me, was an indication of courageous professional integrity and an example that gives dignity to the mission and the person.

Especially in a difficult field like journalism.

The second moment is the day he went to SPAK. 

He was drinking coffee alone, with an apple in his hand (because Eltoni takes his food with him, he has two children and a loan). He also greeted the prosecutor Behar Dibra who was a few tables away and left. Behar Dibra was the prosecutor who invited him to question him, and neither he nor the others understood that Qyno's biggest problem was where he hid his phones.

The prosecutor must have realized later that maybe the journalist had hidden the phones in the kitchen of that bar where the parties are spared any details, why not files!

"I have a meeting with a source," Qyno told me, and left the Class bar, which at midnight of that day also tore the water tank of the toilet, suspected of being the hiding place for the phones.

I did not brag that the accusers called me.

He didn't even ask for help.

Not even awareness.

He still hasn't asked for it even after seizing the phones, physical control and the apartment and workplace

Of course, I asked Elton Qyno at length, about every moment from the publication of Nuredin Duman's testimony, to Sky's conversations with criminals, police officers and any judge or even anyone in the Supreme Court that is exposed on Sky when a criminal he asks for a court date and the name of the judge and then says that "I will ask somewhere in the KLGJ if he has contacts there". A painful paradox or not, what kind of transparent transparency is offered to criminals at a time when journalists are running around like headless chickens, in a broken court that does not provide whitewashed decisions for the media, under the pretext that personal data should not be touched. And the journalists run under this ground, holding fast to the sources, completely unknown to them

I also know of cases when journalists have requested official information about powerful people in crime and the next day they have been betrayed by the institution, after they have been called and precisely from this person they have been asked to account "what do you want from me".

This is the truth of the betrayal of the Albanian journalist.

The other is, abandoning it. Lenia alone.

Since there is talk of journalists who had Sky, (the prosecution should name this case, find those journalists, contribute to the truth), I asked the question that worries me to my colleague

Elton - I asked him, have you had Sky, enchro?

He looked at me disappointed and cut me off: - no Anila. I had a phone that was given to me eight years ago by the owner and I have everything in it. Profession, family and access to the bank. In the second one, I kept the documents, a whole archive of files that I then print, put the names at the top and keep them at home. They took everything from me!

I know that I am a journalist and in my house there is a mountain of files, in the office as well. And I hid them after what happened to Elton Qynos. I am true in what I am saying!! Colleagues saw how I "cleaned" some files in the office, even though I have been acting against the measures for years, as if someone is following me to find out and get rid of the people who trust me, talk to me and tell me something. !

I know how worried Qyno is about the sources because one of them, the prosecutor, had spoken to him two days ago and he was panicking. He showed me the conversation with Qyno and I was silent. I keep quiet because I know what it means to TRUST you and not BETRAY

I know what it means to be tracked because they want to find out the sources, a close circle of friends many months ago I asked you to show only barsaleta on the phone.

Only a journalist understands the problem that Elton Qyno is facing, that he has been asked for the source of the news for a whole day. Every day that passes, with phones under scrutiny, for a journalist it is as if they have opened his heart alive and are biting every tissue. I asked him: What did you think when they asked you about the source? I was invited, he said, I went. They told me: Mr. Elton, we have nothing to do with you, you will not leave here without showing the source. For a whole day, (in a confession that is up to the journalist to make) he was asked insistently by the source who did not hand it over.

"But now everyone will leave me - he says - they will be afraid that I am eavesdropped"!

I do not believe that the sources will be scared. But I don't know if the same thing will happen with the journalists who report on justice, the prosecution and the police.
