For Albri

We have arrived in Shkodër, an emblem of Albanian civilization.

Where the carnivals of yesteryear smell good with the merry party of beautiful women, and where literature and elite art distinguish this beautiful aroma of life with wandering and enjoyment.

Do you want more for Shkodra?

There is also much to tell from the early middle to the late period about this city. But no, today we won't talk any more, Shkodran say. Today we have come for a drop of tears that you added to the pages of Albanian literature of that city as well.

We came for Albri. Albri Brahusha, the writer and playwright that Shkodra spoke to as his own Benjamin. But what was he in Shkodra and Shkodra then what was it for Albri?

The writer and publicist Albri Brahusha passed away some time ago. With a valuable contribution to Shkodra and Albanian literature as well, Brahusha left behind a good name that with his creativity preceded the time in which he lived with dignity.

He was born in Shkodër on September 29, 1973. He studied law, but his passion for literature led him to follow the path as a writer and playwright. With his drama "The Last Visit", he was awarded a prize at the international theater festival in Elbasan.

The works he has written are numerous. The drama "Fairytales Lie" was staged at the Migjeni Theater in 1994, directed by the well-known director, Serafin Fanku. In 2002 "The Last Visit" was staged in Italian, in Trento, Italy, directed by Hervin Çuli. He has been a leader in several well-known newspapers and magazines in Tirana and Shkodër.

Albër Brahusha was an emblematic figure in Shkodër, seeking from the depths of time to bring attention to the past of this city, always thinking that it was not given the place it deserved.

Among a bohemian society from his early youth, his poetry was very similar to the evenings of thought in the West centuries past.

It is estimated that his departure from this world is a loss for art, literature and theater. Brahusha belongs to those confused years of the 90s, where the youth was looking for itself and its role in the city where the first spark of freedom would be born. Through idealism and ambition to do what they owed to Shkodra, which was not only a birthplace for them, but representation and responsibility, nicknamed "Socrates" by friendship, Brahusha remained the young man with the rich philosophical thought that cultivated conversations and meetings between books .

Albi Brahushua was the writer among many well-known names who tried and did their best to leave an incandescent mark on the bright journey of Shkodra.
