The United States Embassy in Tirana has reacted after the election of Klodian Braho as head of the Special Prosecution Office.

Through a post on social media, the US Embassy writes that they look forward to continuing their partnership with Braho in the fight against corruption and organized crime.

The US Embassy has also congratulated Altin Dumani for his service as Chief Prosecutor of SPAK, describing his work as unparalleled in the fight against organized crime and corruption.

“The United States commends Altin Dumani for his unparalleled service as Chief Prosecutor of SPAK. His integrity and courage in holding criminals accountable have strengthened cooperation between the United States and Albania, making us safer from the threat of transnational crime and drug trafficking. We look forward to continuing our strong partnership with the new Special Prosecutor, Klodian Braho, in his new role at the helm of SPAK ,” the US Embassy said in a statement.
