Iraq's "Benzemania" killed: Young Albanian escapes death penalty,
"Benzema" and Irakut

On January 8, 19-year-old Albanian, Xhuliano Prenga "signed" his death sentence! But at least so far, his situation has changed. More details about the fate of the Albanian who is currently being held in a Baghdad prison for the murder of Mustafa Aljiburi, known by the nickname "Benzema", has given journalist Ervin Dushi. In an interview he gave for "Albanian Life", Dushi revealed that the Swedish state has intervened to at least not be sentenced to death. For this deal, the state paid at least 10 million euros to Iraq, but that does not solve the young man's problem. Even though he will not be sentenced to death, he still does not make him escape from prison forever.

However for the youngster, a decision has yet to be made.

"We tried to contact his mother, but we didn't make it because it needed to be understood. There is a child alive, who is not alive. He continues to be in Baghdad in prison and the only good is that the Swedish state paid to "buy" his life. They used a clause that the tribes had there, where they could make deals. He paid about 10 million euros. He is expected to be sentenced to life in prison, but he is alive. Don't get them in the middle of town. That's the only good one. The chances of deportation are slim because he has to serve the sentence in the country that committed the crime," Dushi said.

Mustafa Aljiburi, 34, was shot dead on January 8 in a car in the Ameria neighborhood of Baghdad, Iraq. A man who appeared on a motorcycle and opened fire fled the scene but was arrested by police just hours after the incident. The 19-year-old Juliano Prenga, who shot to death the mafia, who was also known by his nickname "Benzema", was Albanian. As the young man had a Swedish passport, he was understood to be Albanian only by an eagle tattoo on his arm.

The Albanian was prepared to perform the entire task assigned to him most probably by the opposing gang. Given the difficult situation between Sweden's drug clans, the media has stopped publishing news about the young man, trying to protect at least his family, mother, sister and brother, who still live in Sweden.
