A day after the arrest of Nevzat Spaho, who is considered a key person in the information he can provide on the murder of businessman Mondi Mëhalla in Elbasan, the police are secretive about the progress of the investigation.
None of those arrested so far have agreed to provide details, while on Friday, businessman Xhino Ago's former partner and gas station guard Kujtim Pisha will appear before the court to learn about the security measure. The latter is accused of failing to report a crime, but in a preliminary testimony he said that he did not notify the police in time because he was scared by the incident.
In addition to Nevzat Spaho, Xhino Ago and guard Kujtim Pisha, the police also arrested Naldo Gjini, from Lezha, who had been seen in recent days driving the "Audi" car used by the perpetrators in the execution of the 43-year-old.
This vehicle turns out to be owned by the victim's entity, who rented cars. After the serious incident, the "Audi" car was found burned in the village of Miraka with a pistol inside.
Meanwhile, Marcelo Arani and Armando Kola, identified as the businessman's executors, remain wanted.
