Shocking new details have emerged regarding the murder of Ilaria Sula by her ex-Filipino boyfriend Mark Antony Samson.
The author's mother, Nors Man Lapaz, told prosecutors that after committing the crime, the son had come to her very scared, and she even says that "he had become like a demon."
"He opened the door for me, Mark's face was not his. He was flushed, shaking badly, scary, he told me 'I haven't slept, I haven't eaten...' He said it like he was a demon, I was afraid he would hurt me too, " his mother told prosecutors on April 7, but her testimony was revealed today by Italian media.
Mark's mother is also being investigated for complicity in hiding the body.
She also says that the boy had told her that " if he hadn't killed Ilaria Sula, someone else would have killed Mark."
"I told him 'calm down' and he was shaking and said 'mom...mom!! I said 'honey, what have you done?' And he told me in Filipino 'if I hadn't done it, they would have killed me' as if to say that if she hadn't died, he would have died," the woman told prosecutors.
