A day before the visit of American Secretary of State Antony Blinken to Tirana, the spokesperson of the American State Department, Matthew Miller, in a conference, gave some details about the agenda of the high American official.
In his statement, Miller announced that Blinken's visit to Albania is the first and reaffirms the strength of the United States' relationship with Albania.
According to Miller, Albania is a key partner for stability and progress in the Western Balkans as well as a strong voice of Ukraine's defense.
"Secretary Blinken will leave tomorrow to travel to Tirana, Albania, and Munich, Germany. This will be the Secretary's first trip to Albania, and while there, he will reaffirm the strength of the United States' relationship with Albania.
Albania has been a strong voice in support of Ukraine's defense of its sovereignty and freedom against Russia's brutal aggression. Albania was a principled leader during its tenure on the UN Security Council and as OSCE Chair for 2020, and is a key partner for stability and progress in the Western Balkans ," stated US State Department Spokesman Matthew Miller.
