Chronicle journalist Ermal Vija says that the investigations for Ervis Martinaj are very difficult since the latter is a person with significant criminal precedents.

He says that the case of Ervis Martinaj is being investigated in parallel by two prosecutors, that of Kurbini, who started the investigation into the kidnapping and disappearance of Martinaj after the denunciation of his family members 2 months ago. On the other hand, there is the Special Prosecutor's Office that is investigating Ervis Martinaj, as a person much wanted by the police after he was declared wanted in May of this year after the coded operation Golden Bullet.

Vija also stated that apart from the checks in Durrës and Shijak, a check was also carried out in a hotel in Vlora and according to him, if the Prosecutor's Office of Kurbin would find evidence that Ervis Martinaj was kidnapped by a criminal group, they would have to passed the competences to SPAK.

"There was an operation in several apartments where it is suspected that certain persons may have organized the kidnapping of Martinaj, apart from Shijak and Durres, the operations were carried out in a hotel in Vlora. Kurbin's prosecutor's office is leading the investigation into the abduction track, when 2 months have passed since the family members' denunciation. It is an investigation that takes its own time, when we are dealing with a person with many significant criminal records. There are two prosecutors competing for the investigations, that of Kurbin and SPAK, which is looking for him as a wanted man. If the Prosecutor's Office of Kurbin would find evidence that was stolen by a criminal group, it would have to hand over the powers to SPAK", said the journalist in a television interview.
