Valon Bela , a journalist and politician in North Macedonia, has reacted to the "Non Grata" declaration in the Albanian state.
In a post on social media, he writes that no government can change history and divide Albanians within and outside the borders.
He accuses the Rama government of its stances towards Vučić, as well as its relations with Albanians in the region.
The full post by journalist Valon Bela:
First of all, thank you to my friends and well-wishers for informing me and giving me your support. Here is my reaction to my being declared 'undesirable' by the Government of Edi Ramovic, Vucic's Siamese brother.
An administrative decision cannot declare the history, sacrifice, and contribution of an Albanian "non grata".
If a fighter from the three Albanian national wars is declared undesirable in the Albanian state, then the question is not only who was declared "non grata", but what message is being given to our national memory.
Albanians have never been divided into those “inside” and “outside” the state border when it comes to national ideals. Those who have sacrificed for the freedom and dignity of Albanians cannot be judged solely by administrative decisions, especially when transparency and a clear public explanation are lacking.
No government is above the nation and no political mandate is eternal. Governments come and go, while history remains.
Those who make exceptional decisions today must be aware that they will be judged not only by their contemporaries, but also by generations who will assess whether they have protected the national interest or the interests of the day.
Especially when a government severely insults Kosovo, welcomes Vučić with the red carpet, and brutally mistreats and beats its own people who think differently.
The dignity of a warrior is not measured by the right to enter or not enter a country, but by the work he has left behind and the respect he enjoys among the people, unlike the current government that enjoys respect only from infanticide.
And right in perfect sync, Rama & Vučić put me on the blacklist.
This speaks volumes!
