An illegal immigrant who was stopped by police for selling cocaine has been jailed.
Albanian Flamur Lamaj appeared at Northampton Crown Court on Friday morning, pleading guilty to the charges.
The court heard he was arrested in The Headlands, Northampton on July 12 this year and police found 13 packs of cocaine, £50 in cash and phone messages linking him to the organized cocaine trade.
The court heard he had no previous convictions in the UK, but police were unable to establish whether he had a criminal record in his home country.
If Lamaj is sentenced to more than 12 months in prison, then the Secretary of State would order his deportation after serving his prison sentence.
The 21-year-old has no UK address, gave the police a false name, had no permission to stay or work and the authorities had no trace of him.
He told officers he was being paid £500 a week to deal drugs.
