France approved SPAK's request to hand over to Albanian justice as soon as possible Agustin Deda, one of the bodyguards of former Interior Minister Saimir Tahiri, who is serving a sentence for abuse of office in Kosovo prison.
Deda is one of the officers whose competence was the protection of the high official, but in the meantime, based on the confessions of two witnesses protected in Italy, they are suspected of cultivating plots of drugs in the Tepelena area.
When five months have passed since the Germans extradited Saimir Tahir's ex-bodyguard, SPAK demanded a 12-year prison sentence for Mark Hekuran.
The SPAK investigations that interacted with the Italians link the former bodyguard to the charges of drug trafficking and the criminal group and the commission of these crimes within the group. However, during the plea, the prosecutors emphasized that due to the request for a shortened trial, Marku should also win from the law and the sentence should be reduced to eight years in prison. Prosecutors requested that the former soldier serve his sentence in a high-security prison.
The former bodyguard denied the SPAK accusation that the group cultivated over 1,000 cannabis roots and then trafficked them, TCH reports.
In another separate case, SPAK also investigated other former police officials such as Jaeld Cela, Gjergj Kohila and Sokol Bode.
