"The ball is in his court", Rutte from Tirana: Putin will not take
Mark Rutte

From Tirana, where the European Political Community Summit is being held, NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte spoke about the meeting to be held in Istanbul on the Ukraine-Russia ceasefire.

"Putin made a mistake by sending a low-level delegation. The ball is in his court, he has to be serious about finding peace, and all the pressure is on him. I know him very well from when I was prime minister of the Netherlands, he made a mistake by sending a low-level delegation. The Ukrainians have sent a delegation that is quite willing to achieve peace. I am happy about the role that the US has taken to unblock the situation."
