The Special Court against Corruption and Organized Crime (GJKKO) has sentenced Gentian Goskova, known as "Reqi i Korça" to 3.6 years in prison and Elton Kosova to 2.4 years, after they tried to manipulate the testimony of the repentant justice, Luftar Reçi.

They are accused of the criminal offense of "Active corruption of the witness, expert or translator", in the form of the proposal and promise of irregular benefits to the witness, Luftar Reçi, in order to secure false statements from the latter.

According to SPAK, Goskova tried to corrupt and manipulate the witness of the prosecution, Luftar Reçi, who has testified about a series of sensational murders in the country as well as about well-known names of the world of crime. According to the file "Reqi" and Kosova, they were in contact with an employee of the Drenova prison in Korça, where the associate of justice is kept.

We recall that earlier it was announced that there was a plan for the physical elimination of Rec. According to the investigations of the prosecutor Altin Dumani, if Reçi did not retract his testimony against the payment then with 100 thousand euros he would be poisoned by the prison guards through food.

According to SPAK, the elimination of Reçi will be carried out with poisonous agents that would be introduced from outside the prison through a policeman, against a reward of 100 thousand euros. But this several-week plan has failed since SPAK was able to provide information, while the policeman who would be included in this scheme, has confessed the details of this plan, becoming the second associate of justice.

After this situation SPAK and the General Directorate of Prisons have undertaken increased measures for the safety of Reçi's life, separating him from other prisoners, while his food will be checked before every meal. The prisons have also prohibited the entry of any item into Reçi's cell, as it will be checked by 3 police officers in the future.

Luftar Reçi is one of the 7 SPAK defendants who, under the "nothing is forgotten" operation, were sent to court as perpetrators of the criminal groups that executed Klodian Saliu, Vajdin Lamen and citizen Artan Arsi in 2005. Among the defendants implicated by Luftar Reçi's testimony are: Viktor Bajraktari (Imeraj), Emiljano Shullazi, Indrit Taulla, Lulzim Berisha, Plarent Dervishaj, Indrit Rusi and Luftar Reçi himself.
