SPAK has completed its investigations and sent six people accused of serious criminal offenses, including attempted murder, arms trafficking, drugs and participation in a criminal organization, to trial, while requesting the dismissal of the case for two other people, for whom involvement in the crime was not proven.

According to SPAK, investigations have been completed for the six defendants Albert Zaja, Edison Muçeku, Elvis Ndreca, Armando Ndreca, Deivis Bajramaj and Adrian Pikli.

They are accused of being part of a structured criminal group, implicated in attempted murder, illegal possession and trafficking of weapons, as well as in the production and sale of narcotics.

Investigations revealed that the group's activity included various criminal events in the period 2020–2021, including the attempted murder of Durim Bami and Ervin Kodra in Fushë-Krujë, providing conditions for the elimination of citizen Hamza Terziu, and the production of 243 kilograms of cannabis in Lezha.

The investigations also show that Bajramaj and Pikli were involved in the illegal trade of weapons and ammunition, which were also sold to individuals with criminal records.

Dynamics of the investigated events:

From the entirety of the investigative actions carried out so far, it is proven that:

May–July 2020 – Albert Zaja and Edison Muce provided the means for the murder of citizen Hamza Terziu.

Meanwhile, for the defendants Silvio (Roland) Cara and Elmir Tufa , previously accused of involvement in the murder of Shkëlzen Kastrati on February 1, 2021 in Fier, SPAK has requested the dismissal of the criminal case, as the evidence collected does not indicate that they were accomplices in the crime.

According to SPAK, the victim was mistaken for another target, and one of the perpetrators has already been sentenced with a final verdict.

Investigations into other suspected members, identified or yet unidentified, involved in the murder of Kastrati, continue within the framework of criminal proceedings no. 59/2022.
