"Rot in prison"/ Ilaria Sula's murder by her ex-Filipino

Flamur, Gëzime and Leon Sula, the parents and brother of 22-year-old Albanian woman, Ilaria Sula , who was stabbed to death by her Filipino ex-boyfriend, Mark Samson, have spoken to Italian media regarding the tragic event.

"He should rot in prison for life," the parents of the deceased 22-year-old said. " What he did to her, they don't do to animals."

"Our daughter was not an object and he threw her away as if she were one. It wasn't a sweater, it wasn't a pair of shoes, it was a person," her father said, after the young man threw Ilaria's lifeless body over a cliff after killing her and putting it in a suitcase.

To them, Ilaria was a wonderful girl who had dreams, studied Financial Statistics, and was set to graduate in October of this year.

"Our life, our heart, our angel. She had so many dreams, she never stopped. She was studying Financial Statistics, she will graduate in October," her parents said.

Her mother, Gëzimja, said that her daughter had told her that she would come to meet him, but when her brother went to pick her up at the train station, she had not come.

"We were waiting for her that weekend. Her brother went to pick her up at the station, the train arrived and left again, and Ilaria wasn't there. We tried to call her, but her phone was off. That's when we realized something had happened," she said.

Amidst the pain and longing for their daughter, Ilaria's parents and brother seek justice for the murder of their daughter, who, as they say, "has been locked away in a place where she can never return."

"They took a piece of our heart, everything. Our daughter is locked in a place she can never leave, she can never return home, we will never see her walk through the door, stay in her room again. She gave us strength. We have a duty to ensure that justice is served," they said.

As for Mark Samson's mother, who confessed to helping her son wipe away the blood stains in his room after killing Ilarian, the latter's parents say that she should never have done such a thing.

"How could you do such a thing? She should have called for help, an ambulance, the police. She shouldn't have helped him clean everything up, cover up the crime. She's not a mother," said Flamur Sula.

Meanwhile, her brother Leon Sula has expressed that he would like to know if his sister had the opportunity to say her last words.

"I wanted to know if Iliarja had the opportunity to say her last words... Who were her last words...", he said, while the father added, "Maybe she called her mother..."

" Ehhh mom was sleeping at home ," said Ilaria's mother during the interview and started crying.
