The Supreme Court has decided to postpone the hearing for Dritan Dajti, accused of a series of serious criminal offenses as well as the author of the murder of four police officers in Durrës in 2009.

The session has been postponed to June 11 with judge Artur Kalan. Judge Medi Bici was replaced after it turned out that he tried Dajti in a trial in 2003.

He was sentenced by the first degree to life imprisonment for the murder of 4 officers Kastriot Feskaj, Altin Dizdari, Sajmir Duçkollari and Fatos Xhani, during an operation to arrest him.

In February 2019, the Serious Crimes Court of Appeal accepted Dajti's request for a summary trial, sentencing him to 25 years in prison.

Meanwhile, the decision given by the five judges of Appeal, Fuat Vjerdha, president, Lindita Hoxha, Aleks Nikolli, Petrit Aliaj and Skender Damini, has been appealed by the Serious Crimes Appeals Prosecution, which requests the reinstatement of the sentence of life imprisonment.
