A joint operation between the Metropolitan Police, the NCA and the Albanian Police saved the life of an Albanian hostage in London.

A 30-year-old man was held hostage for a week under the threat of being killed unless relatives paid £400,000.

The cause of the hostage-taking was the clash between two rival groups in control of the bar houses.
