Festim Bexhdili, gardener at Golden Resort, testifies in the trial against Dritan Rexhepi and other defendants for the kidnapping and disappearance of Jan Prenga.

"I was cleaning the pool when a white Range Rover came and pulled into the garage. I went to ask them. There were 4 armed men. I didn't know them. They asked me for water and I sent them. I was scared. They told me "someone has been shot". They told me to move him from car to car. I was very scared, from their weapons and because I saw a dead man. We moved him from the Range Rover to a Fiat Doblo, which we used for supplies in the complex. We moved the body.

Their faces had been uncovered, but I don't remember them. One had tattoos. Then they asked me for a pickaxe and a shovel. From the language, they looked like they were from the north. Then Altin Hajri came there. He cursed them and said, "What are you doing here, you're taking us by the throat." He asked them to leave quickly. I don't know what Altin did next.

"I don't know what they wanted the pickaxe and shovel for. I gave them to you and they put them in the car. After they left, I went home to Kavaja," he said.

Bexhdili was initially sentenced to life imprisonment by the GJKKO, a decision that was upheld by the Appeals Court, but the decision was overturned by the High Court, returning it for retrial to the Special Appeals Court.

SPAK suspects that Bexhdil knows where Jan Prenga's body was hidden or disposed of, but he has denied such a thing.
