Drenusha Latifi, former Miss Kosovo, a few days ago, in a rare and very brave confession, showed for the first time the violence she had experienced some time ago from her ex-partner.

Invited to the show "Zona Zero", moderated by Milaim Zeka, Latifi said that her story is not only about the past, but that she hopes to be an example for all women and girls who experience domestic violence, and who it is very difficult for them to escape from this violence.

"The violence started about 3 years after the relationship. It is very difficult to get away from these people. It is an impossible saying. I can talk all day about this, I want to be a support for other women, how can I face this situation, how can I get away from this situation. Bullies are invisible, on the contrary, they are very manipulative and you can easily fall prey to their violence.

The year I met my ex-partner, I was at the height of my career. And it's not that the career was primary for me, I had the intention to build a family in Sweden", said Drenusha Latifi in Top News.

Zeka asked Latif what were the first signs that her ex-partner was violent, revealing that he had previously raped his first wife, a Serbian national.

"Your husband has a criminal past, as he also had a former partner from Belgrade, whom he raped. When did you realize it? When were the first signs?", asked Zeka, while Latifi gave this message:

"He told me very little about it, he told me that he touched it once. He did not give the impression that this could be the abuser. The worst thing was that I supported her, it is very painful for a woman who believes that she does it by lying. His justification was patriotic, since she was a Serb. In 2013, he was in prison in Norway, for an offense he committed there, and I persistently insisted that what happened was not made public. Today I think that this is where the mistakes start, women think not only about themselves, but about the general opinion".
