Rama reacts again: All cabins of the "tourist village" of the criminal

Prime Minister Edi Rama has once again published on Instagram footage from the operation of the National Inspectorate of Territorial Protection in Theth, where several buildings built without permits are being demolished.

"Of course, all the cabins of the "tourist village" of the criminal who wounded Theth will be taken by the state and the Shkodra Municipality team will not leave Theth without healing the heart of the magical town, while the Ministry of Justice is preparing to denounce the "Gjeli" scandal to the High Prosecutorial Council ," Rama writes on Instagram.

The Prime Minister also previously accused the justice system, specifically prosecutor Elsa Gjeli, of refusing to investigate the case.

"A multiple crime for which a prosecutor named Elsa Gjeli has refused to open the case, throwing away the State Police's denunciation."

Meanwhile, the Shkodra Prosecution Office clarified public opinion by emphasizing that Prosecutor Gjeli's decision was made based on the Criminal Code, where criminal proceedings "cannot begin when the fact is not provided for by law as a criminal offense or when it is clear that the fact does not exist."

According to the Shkodra Prosecutor's Office, it has been determined that the facts referred to by the State Police did not constitute illegal construction. The prosecution says that the structures referred to by the police were temporary containers without foundations, placed on stone slabs.

"As such, they do not meet the criteria to be considered a construction object according to the standards set out in Law No. 107/2014 "On Territorial Planning and Development", as amended," the prosecution announced.

Also, according to the prosecution, the police stated in the report of the inspection of the scene that the containers were not placed on concrete foundations, but were placed on cut stone slabs.
