During his visit to Great Britain, Prime Minister Edi Rama held a special conversation in the auditorium of the Royal Institute of International Relations, Chatham House.
The latter is also known as the Royal Institute of International Affairs and is an independent policy institute based in London.
In his ironic rhetoric towards the approach of the British authorities towards the Albanian immigrants, Rama imagined for a moment as if the roles were reversed.
" If the Russians will invade Britain, you come to us, we will protect you from Putin and Suella Braverman both, that's for sure, we will protect you", said the Albanian Prime Minister while causing laughter in the hall .
Focusing on the departure of young people, the head of government said that today we live in a democratic country and that you cannot tell people to stay here because you have a bright future, but they are free to move wherever they want. .
'I know it's not right for me, but I don't tell people you have to stay here because this is your country. When I was young I couldn't leave the country, but today what I fought for is that Albania is a free country and you can move anywhere. How to tell people stay here because this is where you belong, no! You don't tell people the future is bright, stay here with me, but not if you're going to leave, leave, if you're going to stay, stay ,' said Rama.
