Footage of the action taken by Italian authorities in Brescia has been made public , where a criminal group composed mainly of Albanian citizens, suspected of international drug trafficking, was targeted.

The video shows moments of checks carried out with the help of anti-drug dogs, while the police find a significant amount of narcotics.

Part of the seizure is also drugs packaged in bags marked with the logo of the British luxury brand "Rolls Royce".

A joint operation between SPAK and the Brescia Prosecutor's Office has resulted in the dismantling of a criminal international drug trafficking network.

By order of the Court of Brescia, 24 security measures were issued, of which 9 were immediately executed in the city.

Investigations revealed that the group, composed mainly of Albanian citizens, had a dual role: supplying drugs and distributing them in various areas of Brescia, based in the provinces of Rovato and Palazzolo. The heroin was transported from Albania to Italy, while the cocaine came from South America.

In total, there are 49 people under investigation, of whom 46 are Albanians.

According to the Brescia Prosecutor's Office, the value of drugs trafficked by this group amounts to around 12 million euros, while authorities have seized assets worth approximately 3 million euros, obtained from criminal activity.

The drugs were mainly delivered via trucks, where the drivers collaborated with the group, but there were also cases where transportation was done by bus.

The operation comes as part of authorities' efforts to crack down on international drug trafficking networks.
