The uninhabited island of Sazan, where the only traces of man are bunkers and military depots erected during communism could be turned into an island of luxury residences and resorts that would attract thousands of tourists a year.
This is the project of Donald Trump's son-in--chief Jared Kushner, which aims to invest $1 billion in Albania in the construction of residences and resorts in Ksamil, Zvernec and Sazan Island. The news is reported by Bloomberg News Agency.
Kusher expressed interest through Affinity Partners, which is financially backed by Arabs.
"Sazan is unique and unhinged. I haven't seen that island in any other place in the world," Kushner told Bloomberg.
Bloomberg adds that The trump son-in-chief's ambition is to build in Zvernec with several major resorts with approximately 10,000 villas and hotel rooms.
According to Bloomberg, the project's mediator was Richard Grenell, former U.S. ambassador to Germany and former special envoy for the Balkans and the Kosovo-Serbia dialogue.
Last summer, Grenell accompanied Jared Kushner and his wife, Ivanka Trump, on a vacation in southern Albania.
