The head of SPAK, Altin Dumani, has reported to the KLP about the activity of this structure during the year since 2022, where, among other things, he listed some of the problems faced by this structure.

According to him, the high number of pending cases awaiting review is problematic, while he added that the lack of office space is also alarming as there are cases where six investigators are forced to stay in one office.

"As far as international cooperation is concerned, it turns out that we have an increase in requests for legal assistance abroad and the announcement of foreign or Albanian citizens for international research, a decrease is observed in requests for legal assistance from abroad. The situation remains problematic as far as carryover issues are concerned, a large number of carryover issues from other years can be noticed, this is the problem we have to face and solve as quickly as possible, but it is a problematic and I have also met prosecutors, highlighting how the investigation can be postponed in order to complete it as soon as possible but not at the expense of quality, another is the lack of office premises where they exercise their functions, we are in an alarming situation that we do not have offices for prosecutors and BKH investigators,Dumani said.
