President Begaj dismisses the Commander of the Naval Force, who will replace

President Bajram Begaj has dismissed the Commander of the Naval Force, Rear Admiral Adnanand Dëfrim Agastra. In his place, the Head of State appointed Rear Admiral Arsen Burhan Mullaj.

Begaj also awarded several major ranks. Colonel Razije Kadri Mehmeti was awarded the major rank of "Brigadier General".

Meanwhile, the same major rank was awarded to Colonel Fatmir Sadri Neziraj and Colonel Edmond Abaz Voci.

The President of the Republic of Albania, His Excellency Bajram Begaj, with Decree No. 25, dated 16.1.2026, decreed today the release of Rear Admiral Adnanand Dëfrim Agastra from the duty of Commander of the Naval Force. 

The President of the Republic of Albania, H.E. Bajram Begaj, with Decree No. 26, dated 16.1.2026, decreed today the appointment of Rear Admiral Arsen Burhan Mullaj to the position of Commander of the Naval Force. 

The President of the Republic of Albania, H.E. Bajram Begaj, with Decree No. 27, dated 16.1.2026, decreed today the granting of the major rank of "Brigadier General" to Colonel Razije Kadri Mehmeti, with the duty of "Director" in the Directorate of Civil-Military Cooperation J-9 at the General Staff of the Armed Forces.

The President of the Republic of Albania, H.E. Bajram Begaj, with Decree No. 28, dated 16.1.2026, decreed today the granting of the major rank of "Brigadier General" to Colonel Fatmir Sadri Neziraj, with the duty of "Director" in the Directorate of Operations and Training J-3/7 at the General Staff of the Armed Forces.

The President of the Republic of Albania, Bajram Begaj, with Decree No. 29, dated 16.1.2026, decreed today the granting of the major rank of "Brigadier General" to Colonel Edmond Abaz Voci, with the duty of "Commander of the Reporting Control Center" in the Air Force," the presidency's announcement states.
