Residents of Porto Romano warned the government to deal specifically with the value of expropriation of private land, otherwise they threatened to defend the property with their lives.

"As a representative of the village of Rinia, I tell you that if the land is not valued well, every villager will go out there to protect the land and their inherited property. We will protect it with blood", says a resident.
