A 35-year-old man was wounded by a gunshot in Pogradec, near the intersection of Tushemishti, the police informs.

It is suspected that he was shot by the citizen with the initials DM during a momentary conflict and was taken to the hospital where his life is out of danger.

Police forces have set up checkpoints at the entrances and exits of the city to make it possible to catch the suspected perpetrator.

Police Notification:

On 01.03.2024, around 16:30, at the place called "Tushemishti Crossroads", during a momentary conflict, it is suspected that citizen AJ, 35 years old, was injured with a firearm, who was taken to the hospital Pogradec for medical help, where he is out of danger.

The Police Services immediately went to the scene and made it possible to identify the suspected author of the incident, the citizen DM. Checkpoints were set up at the entrances and exits of the city, with the aim of catching and bringing the suspected author to justice.

The investigative group under the direction of the Prosecutor's Office is working to fully clarify the circumstances of this event.
