In an interview on the Greek television "Open", Pirro Dhima confessed that he was often bullied, and insults still continue against him, calling him "Albanian".
But Dhima said that he is not worried by this, even though he does not feel that he is Albanian. He said that he grew up with Albanians and called them brothers.
Dhima said that the Greek minorities living in Albania and the Albanian immigrants in Greece are and should be a bridge for the friendship between the two countries, a fact that was also affirmed by Mitsotakis himself in the presence of Edi Rama in Derviçan, Albania.
As he was asked by the journalist that "did he feel racism in Greece, or were you bullied?", Dhima answered "yes".
“Poooo, every day, every day. They insult me from morning to dinner. This has been happening for many years. Even today, some trolls write from morning to evening, cursing and insulting me. They call me Albanian. I do not feel Albanian, I have never felt Albanian, I am not Albanian", he said.
"I respect Albanians, I have friends, I have Albanian brothers. I grew up with them. I talk to them on the phone every day. Here in Greece we have many Albanians, honorable people, family members who raise their children honestly. They have been able to make a fortune here, they have opened their own businesses and are honorable hosts. They are excellent employees. I want to mention the words of our Prime Minister (Mitsotakis) that he said in Derviçan in the presence of the Albanian Prime Minister Rama: The Greek minority in Albania, in Voriepir and the Albanian immigrants who have come to Greece must be a bridge of friendship, development and well-being for both countries ", he added.
