This scourge of society that has turned adults and children into users, that has produced other phenomena as the police report the arrest of users as perpetrators of events mainly violence and theft, and on the other hand it is observed that their treatment in the cell remains difficult.

600 people were recently arrested as drug dealers across the country and yet this is only one aspect. There is no data available on the number of users, even approximately.

The show started with an exclusive account of Clyde, a heroin user, who the day he found himself without money was recruited as a distributor to provide income for the dose. He has been arrested 3 times, and has recently turned into one of the many collaborators that the police are engaging as undercover buyers to curb the phenomenon.

Clyde: Hello.

Anila Hoxha: How old are you?

Clyde: 44 years old.

Anila Hoxha: Do you continue to use drugs?

Anila Hoxha: Klajdi, how did you start drugs?

Klajdi: I started with cocaine, actually abroad. I was 19-20 years old. Then when I returned from Italy, after cocaine I also started heroin.

Anila Hoxha: In Tirana?

Klajdi: Yes, in Tirana. Yes, I have been a regular user of heroin for almost 20 years and after many attempts at the Military Hospital, at the Toxicologist, I have been hospitalized several times, but sometimes I won, sometimes I lost, until I came back again. Now let's see how long I can keep it. The first time I used heroin, without knowing what kind of drug it was. My friends just served it to me and I tried it. To be honest, I used it for a month without realizing it, without knowing what kind of drug I was taking. With foil, with boats. After I started it.

Anila Hoxha: And how much did you buy it for?

Klajdi: At first, my friends rented it to me, then when I got stuck in it, normally I bought it with Lek. And I did jail time for that. There comes a point when you can't handle the increase in the dose, 4 grams-5 grams a day, and you start to traffic it. Then it necessarily goes to the next level.

Anila Hoxha: How long have you been in prison, Klajdi?

Klydi: I spent 4 years in prison.

Anila Hoxha: For distribution?

Klydi: Yes, for distribution. Being a user as well, but more that is, I necessarily became a distributor at the time I speak because I could not afford the economic situation by buying 4-5 grams a day, I increased the consumption dose a lot.

Anila Hoxha: Were your friends users or distributors?

Klydi: My friends were users. Then necessarily this does not have a static thing, ie. you can be only a user for a period, then you pass to the next level, you become a user and a distributor, then you pass back to being only a user. It is a dynamic thing, what can I call it?

Anila Hoxha: Are you now both a user and a distributor or just a user?

Klajdi: Now I am neither a distributor nor a user, I have given up.

Clyde: From both. Today it is a problem of the lek, the cash.

Clyde: Very easy.

Klaydi: 10 thousand ALL (old). A dose is 1/5, 1/6 of a gram. Very small thing. Own 60-70 thousand lek per gram (old). Count it in grams.

Anila Hoxha: What about cocaine?

Klajdi: Cocaine goes for 100 thousand lekshi (old). I divide one gram of cocaine into 3 doses, 0.33. Some sell it for 30,000 Lek (old), some for 40,000 Lek (old). Between 100-120 thousand ALL per gram.

Anila Hoxha: Were you part of drug distribution networks or...?

Klydi: I've done it all in life.

Anila Hoxha: Let's start. What have you done?

Klydi: What did I do?! Of course, I would take them out, because I didn't drink only 5 doses.

Anila Hoxha: For heroin?

Clyde: Yes, for heroin. I drank through my nose. I drank 4-5 grams a day. Then I could drink another gram of cocaine.

Anila Hoxha: What were your most difficult moments while using heroin?

Klajdi: The moments of leaving... The moments when I made prison that I left, that I went through those embarrassments.

Anila Hoxha: Why were you arrested? Where are you selling?

Klydi: In flagrante delicto. In the Block area. Actually, I was not alone. I was with another person. And we were caught in his house. To say that I distributed daily and some people manipulated me would be an exaggeration. Normally I would take it to someone and distribute it for my own interests.

Anila Hoxha: And how much did you earn per day?

Clyde: I was earning enough. I cut my expenses. Don't be in debt to anyone.

Anila Hoxha: Doesn't the use of users turn into an exploitation by those who run drug distribution networks?

Klajdi: Yes, I would agree, if the head of the network was caught. One who supplies the distributor. Because the one who supplies the distributor, I assure you, he does not drink drugs at all. It's another level. There will always be such creations of distributors, users who get caught, get arrested, stay in jail, but the main ones always remain intact. Because they cannot be caught. No, because the police don't want to catch you. Now make a resume, when there is a crackdown, 300 people are arrested every 3 months in Tirana. "2 Temples" have been built so far, now "Temple 3" is expected to be built. It does not mean that they are all caught. That is, a good part has been captured, a large part. As soon as 100 people were caught, you can be sure another 100 came out within a week. I had friends with 2-3 of them.

Anila Hoxha: Have you had fellow users who died from drugs?

Klydi: One of them has died, there is a son. The other from overdose. Many people have died, many at all.

Anila Hoxha: Heroin or cocaine user?

Clyde: Heroin and cocaine.

Anila Hoxha: What about cocaine, how is it distributed in Tirana and other cities?

Klajdi: Like heroin is distributed, cocaine is also distributed.

Anila Hoxha: With doses or locally?

Klydi: In doses. There are people who distribute it in bars, there are people who distribute it on the street. There are people who come to serve it, bring it home. There are people.. There are all kinds of ways.

Anila Hoxha: But how do they bring him home?

Klydi: There are people who have points. That they open a bar or a tobacconist that sells cigarettes and when they give a package, they also give a piece of the product.

Anila Hoxha: How is heroin distributed?
