In the new draft that includes the changes that may occur in the New Criminal Code, surrogacy, or ordering a couple to give birth to a child from another woman, is among others.

This concept is included for the first time in Albanian legislation, as it was not foreseen in the existing Code.

Journalist Anila Hoxha lists the proposals for changes in the New Criminal Code, which are included as innovations.

With these proposals, bigamy, cyber terrorism, influence of voters through misinformation or exposing the witness of justice and the identity of special forces are also considered a crime:

1) Surrogacy, in cases where the birth mother gives birth to a child in exchange for money, will be considered a crime

2) Judicial reprimand by announcement, to some extent the same as a lightning sheet (but not completely), which is carried out only if the accused agrees to be reprimanded

3) Bigamy if at the same time two marriages are entered into. Neither cohabitation nor treason is included as a crime

4) Payment of one day's imprisonment to the state account with 6 thousand lek per day. Includes paying prison in installments if you can't afford it (for minor offenses)

5) The payment of the fine can also happen during the investigation phase, and this leads to dismissal of the charge. The corrupt are excluded here

6) Reconsideration of the removal of life imprisonment with a conditional sentence, after you have served 35 years of imprisonment, but on the condition that you have followed any reintegration program

7) Increasing the threshold for not holding public office for up to 25 years, when you are convicted of certain crimes

8) If you are found guilty, not only the decorations will be removed, but also the academic titles

9) You are excluded from the right of inheritance when you have committed a crime to appropriate family wealth, harming other members

10) Exemption from life imprisonment was for women and for every citizen up to 18 years old, it becomes up to 21 years old

11) Forced by a court decision to give up alcohol and drugs

12) Cyber ​​terrorism, influencing voters through disinformation, exposing the witness of justice and the identity of special forces, will also be crimes.
