The lawyer Besim Dervishi has made several historical discoveries, through studies in books and with the residents of the Berat area in the field. He has discovered that the first man-made oracle in Europe was erected on Mount Tomorri.

In a connection with Skype for the "Morning ABC" show, Dervishi has shown how he started this archaeological research, a few years ago until finding the facts, the sphinxes carved in stone and the throne.

According to him, the Oracle of Dodona is taken from historiography as the Oracle discovered near Ioannina. But lately it has started to be disputed by the historian, because the facts found there barely go beyond the 5th century.

"I was born in a village at the foot of Tomorri and since I was young I was fed with legends, myths from my grandfather, from my father, from the stories I heard from the elders and this is where my curiosity was born, since I was young, that is. But I started to study about the mountain, it was after I read the book of one of my professors, Ilir Cenollari, when I was working in Berat. I also started there in 2009, to be taken seriously. After I came here to the US, I started reading, started a group, and called on locals to send me interesting things they found on the ground. I believe in the books of ancient authors and their data, but for me the main sources are those in the field, books are supplementary sources.

The war between archaeologists is fought on two fronts. One front says that Mount Tomorri has no old history, but is new. And secondly, there is no temple on Mount Tomorri. For the first theory, I have tried to find as many facts as possible together with the residents of the area, in order to refute the theory that there is a history around Mount Tomorri. Some stone writings, some stone carvings of mythologies have been found.

The Oracle of Dodona is taken from historiography as the Oracle discovered near Ioannina. But lately it has started to be contradicted by historians, because the facts found there hardly go beyond the 5th century, while Homer when he wrote the Iliad wrote it in the 8th century. Now how is it possible that Homer wrote a book with facts that have not passed this century, while in Tomorr these stone works may belong to another era. Even researchers should deal with this to find the right period" , said Dervishi, among other things.
