The civic protest against Prime Minister Edi Rama has entered its 81st consecutive day today.

One of the most prominent figures of the protest, activist Arben Kola, described the protest as a “beautiful film” and a case study, as according to him, no one had imagined that the resistance would last so long. He emphasized that with each passing day, a high civic awareness and a reawakening of all ages, especially youth and the elderly, is being seen.

Kola warned that in September, with the return of families and students to Tirana, Albanians will passively return to protest, moving, according to him, towards civil disobedience.

The activist underlined that the government's minimal reaction should have been the immediate resignation of Prime Minister Edi Rama.

According to him, the protest has demonstrated high citizenship and has been appreciated by Europe and the world for its Western model. Kola concluded that Albanians have shown that they have long been ready to integrate into the European Union, but this journey is being directly hindered by the current government.
