A 30-year-old man was arrested by the police in Laç, after he was declared wanted by Italian justice.

The Court of Rimini had set the measure of 'prison arrest' for Donald Martinaj, since in July 2023 he chased his ex-girlfriend by burning her vehicle with gasoline and raped this citizen.

Police notification:

The Directorate of the Special Operational Force in the Department of Criminal Police in DPSHP finalized the police operation coded "Operationalja 7".

Accused by the Rimini Court of 3 criminal offenses against the person and property, the 30-year-old Albanian man, declared internationally wanted, was arrested in Laç and provisionally arrested, to be extradited to Italy.

Within the mega-operation "Rule of Law" and as a result of the information provided by the police intelligence, the Directorate of the Special Operational Force, during the coded police operation "Operational 7", captured in Laç and provisionally arrested, with the aim of extradition to Italy, Albanian citizen, declared internationally wanted DM, 30 years old, born in the village of Gurëz, Kurbin.

The Court of Rimini, Italy, with the decision dated 25.08.2023, assigned to this citizen, the security measure "Arrest in prison", for the criminal offenses "Stalking", "Intimidation" and "Destruction of property by fire", as he is accused that in the month of July, 2023, he chased his ex-girlfriend, burned her vehicle with gasoline, and organized other citizens who raped this citizen and her partner.

Interpol Tirana and Interpol Rome are cooperating to extradite this citizen.
