"We smelled a strange smell and heard screams", the young Polish man

A young man from Poland has described the moments when the fire broke out at the hotel on the Lungomare in Vlora.

He says he initially smelled a strange smell and heard screaming. According to him, the incident happened around 04:00.

"We smelled a strange smell and heard screaming. It was around 4 o'clock, then we went out the window and saw what was happening. There were people asking for help," the young man from Poland said.

The fire has engulfed the hotel on the Lungomare in Vlora, while the police and fire brigade have arrived at the scene, which have made it possible to localize the flames. Six people have been injured, two of them in serious condition.
