Bad weather, Pelesi: Municipalities are on alert, we may have floods

Minister of Defense Niko Peleshi, in a statement to the media, said that so far there are no problems in the districts due to the rain.

He emphasized that all municipal staffs are on full alert and have worked to prevent possible flooding from rainfall.

However, Peleshi added that the weather is expected to worsen in the coming days, so extra care should be taken.

" So far, from the reports made in the last 24 hours, we do not have any problematic situations in the districts. River quotas are normal. In the districts of Shkodër, Dibër, Kukës and Lezhë, there may be floods of small mountain rivers and landslides. In urban areas, there may be localized flooding depending on the condition of the locations.

All Municipal staffs are on alert, they worked in time to prevent possible floods. An extraordinary amount of rainfall can confront us with unavoidable emergencies ", said Peleshi.
