"We want the best possible relations with all our neighbors and among these neighbors is Albania," Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis told a press conference on the framework of the International Fair in Thessaloniki.

Mitsotakis stressed that there has been a difficult diplomatic period between the two countries, and said that the issue of property of Greek minorities in Albania, according to him, will be a preconditation for Albania's path towards the EU.

In the part related to diplomacy, answering a journalist's question about Albania, especially after the case of Fredi Belleri, Mitsotakis noted that they have been through a difficult period in the bilateral plan, stressing that they want good relations, but they "pass by respecting the rights of the Greek minority in Albania".

He added that the issue of property rights is still current and "is a necessary prerequisite for the country to move forward on the European path".
