The Special Prosecutor's Office is reported to be just one step away from registering the criminal proceedings for the loan file, which is extorting Albanian citizens and alienating their properties. Three weeks ago, on April 17, 2024, the file was forwarded to SPAK by the Prosecutor's Office of Tirana.

The materials sent to the new prosecution body for "incompetence" have arrived, but the lot has not yet been cast for the selection of officers and the prosecutor who will pursue the case.

It was the prosecutor of Tirana, Leonard Filopati, who conducted investigations into this gang that is extorting Albanian citizens and taking their properties for loans starting from 50 thousand old lek, in cooperation with some state segments. There are even cases when the victims do not appear to have received a loan at all.

Filopati has established during his work that the issue of fraud and alienation of property through loans contains the elements of a structured criminal group, where not only leaders of the company "Micro Credit Albania" and "Final" are involved, but also a chain private executors.

Ora News says that the threads of this group, according to the Prosecutor's Office of Tirana, extend to the officials of the Bank of Albania, who by "Abusing their duties" have brought irreparable measures to the lives and properties of thousands of people.

The file that has arrived at SPAK contains the names of seven private executors and two companies of "Micro Credit Albania" and "Final", which also result in an official letter compiled by the Ministry of Justice, where it informed Altin Duman and Edi Rama.

It is about the bailiffs Lefter Cenaj, Helidon Djindi, Fatos Alimadhi, Saimir Dogjani, Astrit Kaptelli, Rrok Deda and Altin Vako.

These names of executors worked for the account of "Micro Credit Albania" which is controlled by the couple Olsi and Elda Ibro with administrator Andis Gjoka, and "Final" which is controlled by other names known to the prosecution, such as Arben Meskuti and Vasil Bakallbashi.

There are hundreds of execution practices that were carried out in one day, which, according to the prosecution, refer to fictitiously conducted auctions taking the property of various citizens who had applied and received small amounts of credit.

The Special Prosecutor's Office is expected to register the criminal proceedings next week on the file and the concrete materials that the prosecutor Leonard Filopati has collected during his months-long investigations, for the criminal offenses "Fraud with serious consequences", "Non-payment of taxes", "Cleaning of products of the criminal offense", "Structured criminal group" and "Abuse of duty".
